Mirziyoyev visits new Pavilion complex in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the new Pavilion trade complex in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent, where he reviewed its operations and infrastructure capabilities.
In recent years, Uzbekistan has seen rapid growth in the production of construction materials. At the same time, special attention has been paid to developing modern trade and service infrastructure. The Pavilion complex has become a practical example of this policy.
The project was implemented with an investment of US$25 million. It covers an area of 4.6 hectares, with a total built-up space of 42,000 square meters. A parking facility for 1,000 vehicles has also been constructed nearby.
The complex consists of three floors housing numerous retail outlets. Its architectural design features wide corridors, open public spaces, and comfortable conditions for visitors. The facility introduces a new format for construction materials retail that is more organized, modern, and convenient.
The project has created around 2,000 jobs. During the visit, the President was briefed on the complex’s operations and then reviewed the range of construction products available.
Around 500 retail outlets are expected to operate within the Pavilion complex, offering a wide selection of construction and renovation materials.
Information on product availability and prices will be accessible through a unified digital platform, ensuring transparency in trade and simplifying interaction between sellers and buyers.
The complex is designed to serve up to 3 million visitors annually. Special attention has been given to security, with 500 surveillance cameras installed across the site.
The President stressed that such facilities should not only function as large trade centers but also set new standards of quality, service, and retail culture in the construction materials market.
He also noted the importance of developing similar specialized trade centers around Tashkent.
According to him, rising living standards are driving increased demand for high-quality goods and services, requiring greater participation of domestic producers and improved logistics solutions.
