Kashkadarya region posts 3% GPR growth in 1H 2010

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Gross regional product (GRP) of Kashkadarya region grew by 3% year-on-year in the first half of 2010.

The growth of industrial output made up 9.7%, consumer goods production – 5.4%, retail trade turnover – 12.4% and rendered services – 6.4%.

The region’s export products and service made up US$176 million.

Within Anti-crisis programme, 361 industrial enterprises were reorganized. Fifty four enterprises increased production of knitted products, yarn, fabrics, food and drinks, meat and others.

The commercial banks increased the volume of allocated loans to small and private businesses by 1.5 times to 76.1 billion soums.
