Japan hands over equipment to three Uzbek schools

The Government of Japan provided a technical assistance to three schools of Ferghana region of Uzbekistan.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Uzbekistan Fumihiko Kato handed over modern educational and laboratory equipment to school No 9 of Ferghana city and schools No. 41 and No. 42 of Ferghana district.
The assistance was provided within the programme on providing no-string aid to grass-root projects, which has been implemented in Uzbekistan since 1995.
Within the programme, the Government of Japan provided over US$20 million to implement 328 projects in such spheres as education, healthcare and agriculture.
