Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Japanese Ambassador to Uzbekistan Tsutomu Hiraoka and Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Qosimov signed notes of exchange as part of a programme by the Japanese government under the project entitled “Providing stipends in the training of specialists”.

The notes of exchange signed on 29 July were the tenth document of its kind and that this time, the total amount of allocated funds was about US$2.6 million.

In all, Japan has allocated some US$2.6 million for the project since 1999; next month a dozen of Uzbeks will attend a training course in Japan under the project.
