Imported seeds of vegetables, melons and legumes are exempt from customs duties

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The Government of Uzbekistan adopted an order, in line with which seeds of high-yielding and early maturing varieties of vegetables, melons and leguminous crops, imported by farmers and other organizations, as well as individual entrepreneurs will be exempted from customs duties till 1 July 2019.

The order approved a list of seeds of vegetables, melons and leguminous crops, which are imported into Uzbekistan without customs payments, Uzagroexport said.

The document is aimed at ensuring fully supply of seeds of high-yielding and early maturing varieties of vegetables, melons and leguminous crops to farmers and dehkans, taking into account optimization of agriculture fields.
