How much has the share of ICT services in gross domestic product increased?

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- According to preliminary results of the Statistics Agency, for January-September 2023, the share of information and communication technologies (ICT) services in the country’s economy amounted to 1.9%.

The added value of ICT services consists of communication services - 59.2%, computer programming, consultations and other related services - 22.9%, data hosting and processing services, Web portals - 10.3%, repair of computers and communication equipment - 3.9%, software releases – 3.7%.

During January-September 2023, 2,271 units new enterprises in the information and communications industry were created in the republic, and compared to the corresponding period of last year, they increased by 1.2 times. Their dynamics over the past five years are reflected in the following form:

in 2019 – 1,298 units.

in 2020 – 1,360 units.

in 2021 – 1,984 units.

in 2022 – 1,893 units.

in 2023 – 2,271 units.
