Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s kurash athlete Ahror Ziyodullayev won the gold medal at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games in the 81kg weight category.
The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan reported the result.
In the final bout, Ziyodullayev defeated Iran’s Ramin Ahmadzoda to become Asian Games champion.
Uzbekistan also secured another medal through track and field athlete Anvar Anvarov. Competing in the long jump, he recorded a distance of 8.06 meters to win the bronze medal.
As a result, Uzbek athletes added one gold and one bronze medal to the delegation’s medal tally on 28 September.
