Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Goalkeeper Matvey Safonov of French club Paris Saint-Germain and midfielder Alexey Batrakov of Turkish side Galatasaray have been named in Russia’s final squad for the national team’s November friendly matches.
Valery Karpin’s team will face Uzbekistan in one of the fixtures in Tashkent, the Russian Football Union (RFU) said.
The match between the national teams of Uzbekistan and Russia will take place in Tashkent on 12 November.
Russia will play its other friendly against Venezuela on 17 November in Krasnodar.
In the latest FIFA rankings, Russia are 35th, Uzbekistan are 59th and Venezuela are 49th.
