Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Mirzo-Ulugbek District Criminal Court in Tashkent has issued a ruling in a widely discussed traffic accident involving Li L9 and BYD Song vehicles.
The Tashkent City Court provided the official information.
An earlier ruling by the court of first instance in the case was overturned on appeal by a judicial panel of the Tashkent City Court, after which the case materials were sent for additional investigation.
Under the new ruling, the Li L9 driver, identified as F. Zh., born in 2000, was found guilty of violations under Part 4 of Article 128-3, Article 133 and Part 1 of Article 135-1 of Uzbekistan’s Code of Administrative Responsibility.
The violations included exceeding the established speed limit by more than 60 km/h, violating traffic rules that resulted in minor bodily injury to the victim or significant material damage, and violating legal requirements on compulsory civil liability insurance for vehicle owners.
Taking Article 34 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility into account, the court imposed a final fine of 6.18 million soums on the driver.
The official information also states that the material damage caused to the victim has been compensated.
At the same time, the interested party was informed of the right to file a civil claim to recover other material and moral damages caused by the traffic accident.
The parties were also informed of the procedure and deadlines for appealing the court ruling.
