GM Uzbekistan works on new model of car

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- GM Uzbekistan started work on development of new model of automobile, Narodnoye Slovo newspaper reported quoting director on production of GM Uzbekista Ismailjon Nazirov.

He said that now the joint venture implements project on development of new model of automobile. Technical characteristics of new car was approved, he added.

Ismailjon Nazirov underlined that the plant plans to construct new line in welding shop and installs new mechanisms and equipment for assembling and painting shops.

At the same time, he did not disclose model of the car. Earlier, local media reported that GM Uzbekistan is planning to launch serial production of micro-van Chevrolet CMP (Daewoo Labo) in 2015.
