Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Ferghana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov discussed prospects for expanding trade and economic cooperation and opening a Ferghana Region Trade House in Kabul with Afghanistan’s Minister of Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi during a working visit to Afghanistan.
The sides noted the strengthening of relations between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, as well as the development of mutual trust and trade and economic ties between the two countries in recent years.
According to the participants, opening the Ferghana Region Trade House in Kabul would create additional opportunities for businesses, help increase bilateral trade and establish new business contacts.
The sides also focused on expanding cooperation between Ferghana region and Afghanistan in agriculture, exports of fruit and vegetable products, logistics, the electrical engineering industry and other areas.
They also discussed plans to increase supplies to the Afghan market of food products, flour and grain, textiles and finished clothing, construction materials and pharmaceutical products.
