Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Belarus Nuriddin Mamajonov has arrived in Minsk, Dunyo news agency reported.

Before his appointment to the diplomatic post, Mamajonov served as deputy governor of Ferghana region and head of its investment and foreign trade department.

Mamajonov is 45 years old. He graduated from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy under Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Central Bohemia University in the Czech Republic. He also holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree from the European Institute of Applied Sciences and Management in Prague.

At various times, Mamajonov worked at Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as at the country’s embassy in Germany and the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Frankfurt am Main.

In 2022-2023, he served as trade and economic affairs adviser at Uzbekistan’s embassy in China and also worked as first deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Department of Economic Diplomacy.

Mamajonov succeeds Rakhmatulla Nazarov, who headed Uzbekistan’s embassy in Minsk from 2024 to 2026.
