Ferghana Region and Henan Bio-Industry Agree to Agribusiness Projects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Within the framework of the fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum (TMIF-2026), Khokim of Ferghana region Khayrullo Bozorov continued a series of intensive negotiations with the top management of leading foreign corporations.

Another important step on the path to expanding interregional partnership was an official meeting with Du Yongbing, head of the Chinese company Henan Bio-Industry Group, dedicated to launching promising investment projects in the agricultural sector.

The parties defined the main subject of the discussion to be the creation of modern, high-tech production facilities on the territory of the Ferghana region. As Du Yongbing reported, the Chinese corporation plans to deploy comprehensive projects in the region covering the entire value chain: from the direct cultivation of agricultural crops to their deep processing and the manufacture of finished, environmentally friendly products with high added value.

Khayrullo Bozorov highly praised the investment initiative of the Chinese partners, emphasizing that the dynamically developing strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the People's Republic of China opens up unprecedented opportunities for regional business.

The head of the region particularly noted that a highly transparent and favorable business environment has been created in Ferghana. To provide comprehensive support to investors, specialized industrial zones function in the region, and a unique support center for Chinese entrepreneurs has been launched, providing prompt practical assistance at all stages of business case implementation.

Following the dialogue, the parties agreed to continue a detailed discussion of the technical parameters of the projects directly during a return visit of the Chinese delegation to the Ferghana region.
