Fed Cup: Uzbekistan loses to Thailand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan lost to Thailand with the score 1-2 in the promotional play-off match in the Asia/Oceania Zone Group I event of Fed Cup on Saturday, 8 February 2014.

Sabina Sharipova outplayed Noppawan Lertcheewakarn – 7/6 (5) and 6/4, while Nigina Abduraimov lost to Luksika Kumkhum– 6/7 (3) and 5/7.

In the match of pairs, Luksika Kumkhum and Tamarine Tanasugarn beat Sabina Sharipova and Nigina Abduraimov in three sets - 6/2, 3/6 и 6/4.

Thailand reserved a slot at the Fed Cup World Group II Playoffs in April.
