Fed Cup: Uzbekistan beats Hong Kong

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan national women’s tennis team clinched a 3-0 victory over Hong Kong in Group A match of the Asia/Oceania Zone 1 of the Fed Cup.

In the first match, Akgul Amanmuradova defeated Ho Ching Wu in straight sets 7:5 and 6:4. Nigina Abduraimova outplayed Ling Zhang with the score 7:6 (3) and 7:6 (3).

In the pair’s match, Arina Folts and Sabina Sharipova beat Man Ying Ng and Chun-Wing Sher with the score 6:3, 6:7 (2) and 6:4.

In the second match of the Group A, Uzbekistan will face South Korea, which lost to Japan with the score 3-0 in the first match.
