Exhibition “My wonderful Tashkent” held

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The exhibition and contest “My wonderful Tashkent” devoted to the capital city’s 2,200th anniversary were held at the Visual Art Gallery of Uzbekistan.

Both young and famous artists participated in the contest, aimed at promoting the history and the present development of the city, UzA reported.

More than 250 paintings submitted for the contest were presented at the exhibition.

About 20 artists received prizes at the event in various nominations.

They were Fathiddin Muydinov (painting “Hazrat Imam complex”), Ismail Boltaboyev (“Anhor river”), Muhammad Yuldashev (“Kadyri park”), Dilorom Mamedova (“Autumn in Tashkent”) and others.

Tashkent will celebrate its 2,200th anniversary on 1 September.
