Earthquake shakes Uzbekistan (Update)

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An earthquake was registered in Uzbekistan at 00:53 a.m. on 23 October 2009. The magnitude of earthquake was 3-3.5 in Tashkent.

According to Tashkent seismic station, magnitude of earthquake was 3 in Samarkand, 3.5-4 in Surkhandarya region and 3.5 in Ferghana Valley.

The epicenter was 500 kilometers from Tashkent to the South-Eastern direction at Afghanistan territory. The magnitude of earthquake at the epicenter, Hindu Kush region, was 6.2 points.
