Deputy commerce minister of Bangladesh visits Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Commerce of Bangladesh Mahbub Ahmed, who is visiting Uzbekistan as a head of the delegation of Bangladesh businesses.

During the meeting, the sides considered actual issues of cooperation with focus on trade-economic and investment spheres, the Uzbek ministry said in a statement.

The sides with satisfaction noted positive trends in Uzbek-Bangladesh relations. It was said that bilateral turnover hit US$77.6 million in the first half of 2013 and US$115 million in 2012, which significantly exceeds previous figures.

At the meeting, the sides affirmed mutual readiness to work together on diversification and increasing the volume of bilateral trade.
