Denis Istomin moves to second round of Australian Open

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Wildcard holder Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan moved to the second round of the Australian Open on Tuesday, 20 January 2008.

Istomin defeated US’s player Vincent Spadea in straight sets 6/2, 7/5 and 6/4.

Denis Istomin will face world No. 24 Richard Gasquet of France in the second round of the first Grand Slam of the year.
