Denis Istomin defeats Janko Tipsarevic in Geneva

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomin advanced to the second round of the ATP Geneva Open in Geneva (Switzerland).

In the first round, Denis Istomin defeated Janko Tipsarevic of Serbia in straight sets with the score 6:0 and 6:2. The match lasted 52 minutes.

Istomin recorded five break points, two aces and one double-fault. Tipsarevic did not record any aces or double-faults.

Denis Istomin will face Thomaz Bellucci of Brazil in the second round.
