Construction of US$150 Million Arashan Resort Underway in Namangan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Construction is progressing in the Pap district of the Namangan region on the Arashan Resort international multifunctional mountain tourism and recreational complex, which has a total project value of US$150 million. The Governor of the Namangan region, Shavkat Abdurazakov, recently visited the site to inspect the progress of the development.

During the visit, the governor reviewed the current stage of construction, the pace of construction and installation works, and the establishment of engineering, communication, and modern tourism infrastructure.

The project is being implemented by the Arashan Resort company. Of the total US$150 million cost, plans for 2026 outline the utilization of US$75 million in investments. Once fully operational, the complex will have the capacity to accommodate up to 912,000 tourists annually.

The Japanese company NGEA (Nippon Global Education and Assessment) is serving as the foreign partner for the project. Officials noted that its participation will ensure the resort is built in accordance with international standards, improve the quality of tourism services, and create conditions to increase the flow of foreign tourists.

Shavkat Abdurazakov instructed the responsible officials to ensure the completion of construction within the established timeframes, accelerate the pace of work across all facilities, and commission the complex on schedule.

Arashan Resort is expected to become one of the largest investment projects in the Namangan region. The implementation of the project aims to develop the region's tourism potential, create new jobs, expand the service sector, and increase the international tourism attractiveness of the region.
