Chust and Koszalin Sign Twin City Agreement
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from the city of Koszalin of the Republic of Poland, led by Mayor Tomasz Sobieraj, is currently on a visit to Chust district in Uzbekistan. The visit includes an overview of the region’s economic, industrial and cultural potential.
During the visit, the foreign delegation toured several industrial enterprises in the district. Particular attention was paid to the “Chust Urikzor” enterprise, where guests were introduced to production processes for processing fruit, vegetable and legume products grown in the region.
The delegation was also presented with modern technological solutions as well as a range of finished products manufactured at the enterprise.
In addition to industrial cooperation, participants were briefed on the investment opportunities of the district. A separate part of the program focused on the cultural and historical heritage of Chust. The guests visited the pilgrimage site “Bibiona,” the Mavlono Lutfullo recreation park, and also met with local artisans.
A key outcome of the visit was the signing of a memorandum establishing sister-city relations between Chust district and the city of Koszalin.
The document provides for the development of cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, industry, culture and sports, science and education, as well as innovation and information technologies.
Both sides noted that the agreement creates a foundation for expanding investment cooperation, strengthening friendly relations between the regions, and further developing multifaceted partnership ties.
