Central Asian states, South Korea discuss development of relations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Fifth session of Cooperation Forum “Republic of Korea – Central Asia” was held in Tashkent on 15 November 2011.

Delegations of South Korea, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan participated at the work of the forum.

The participants exchanged opinion on developing cooperation between South Korea and the Central Asian states in science and technology, regional development, creating electronic government, sports, and others.

The forum has been held annually since 2007 and it is directed at strengthening and expanding cooperation in economy, information and communication technologies, construction and transport, science, culture, education, tourism and other areas.
