Bektemir Melikuziev becomes flagbearer of Uzbekistan at Summer Youth Olympic Games

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Defending amateur champion on boxing among juniors Bektemir Melikuziev will be flagbearer of Uzbekistan national team at the solemn opening ceremony of the Second Summer Youth Olympic Games, a press service of National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan said.

The Second Summer Youth Olympic Games will take place in Nanjing (China) on 16-28 August 2014.

Uzbek boxer Bektemir Melikuziev won in international tournaments in Azerbaijan, Serbia, Russia and Thailand.

This year, he won the Asian Championship in Bongkok, Thailand, and clinched a gold medal of the World Championship in Sofia, Bulgaria. He also won in Barkamol Avlod-2014 competition in Namangan region.
