Babayan appointed as Uzbekistan U-23 head coach

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- President of Uzbekistan Football Federation (UFF) Mirabror Usmanov approved coaches of Uzbekistan Olympic team (U-23).

According to the UFF, Samvel Babayan has been appointed as head coach of Uzbekistan U-23. It is worth to mention that Babayan is head coach of Uzbekistan national team.

Previous head coach of Uzbekistan U-23 Victor Jalilov will work as senior coach at the team. Ravshan Haydarov was appointed as the coach of Uzbekistan U-23.

The decision was adopted in order to improve preparation of Uzbekistan team to the AFC U-23 Championship in Qatar. Top three teams of the tournament will receive right to play in Olympic Games in 2016.
