Uzbekistan Culture Foundation holds talks with Saudi Arabia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Representatives of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of the Republic of Uzbekistan held official negotiations with Noura Al Gwaiz, the investment director of the General Entertainment Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The meeting focused on establishing a bilateral strategic partnership and launching joint initiatives in the humanitarian and investment spheres.
During the conversation, the Saudi side presented the key directions of its activities in detail, paying special attention to its experience in implementing large-scale national projects, such as the international festival Riyadh Season and the Boulevard World entertainment complex.
The main focus of the discussion was the expansion of the cultural presence of Uzbekistan in the Middle East. The sides discussed in detail the prospects for organizing and holding a Week of Uzbekistan in Saudi Arabia.
The program of the large-scale event may include tours by leading Uzbek theater troupes, as well as opera and ballet companies. In addition, the partners considered opportunities for financing and launching joint projects in contemporary art and the development of creative industries.
A special place on the agenda of the negotiations was dedicated to discussing long-term cooperation at the Boulevard World site.
The meeting participants studied the technical and organizational possibilities of using this international complex as a permanent zone to popularize the rich historical and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan. In particular, there are plans to extensively promote traditional national crafts, tourism potential, and gastronomic traditions of the republic on this platform, which will serve to further strengthen interstate ties.
