An earthquake occurred on the territory of Jizzakh region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz ) – The Republican Center for Seismic Prognostic Monitoring of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported an earthquake occurred on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 26 Augusyt 2023 at 06:55 local time.

Epicenter was in Yangiabad district of Jizzakh region. Earthquake coordinates: 40.09 degrees north latitude; 68.9 degrees east longitude. Magnitude M = 3.6. Depth 10 km. The distance from the epicenter to Tashkent is 133 km in a south-westerly direction.
