Alisher Yusupov fails to reach semifinals

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Alisher Yusupov, a representative of Uzbekistan’s men’s judo team in the over 100 kg weight category, was unable to advance to the semifinals.

In the quarterfinals, Yusupov faced Tajik athlete Temur Rakhimov but was defeated in the match.

However, Yusupov still has a chance to compete for a bronze medal in the repechage round. His opponent will be the loser of the match between Guram Tushishvili (Georgia) and Teddy Riner (France).
