Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Khalq Bank (People’s Bank) of Uzbekistan signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation to support the implementation of the People’s Bank’s transformation strategy until 2025.
As part of the document, ADB will support the Khalq Bank of Uzbekistan for 12 months in the implementation of its strategy until 2025, which was developed jointly with ADB. The strategy was approved within the framework of the second Economic Forum, which is taking place in Samarkand.
Technical assistance is provided in the areas of corporate governance, risk management, and expansion of the bank’s current financial capabilities.
