Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, met with World Trade Organization (WTO) Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala to discuss the progress of Uzbekistan’s accession process and further tasks.
The meeting reviewed the progress Uzbekistan has made toward joining the organization, as well as the work that remains to be completed.
Saida Mirziyoyeva thanked Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala for her continued support and expert assistance throughout the accession process.
“We have already covered most of the way, and now it is important to maintain the pace and bring this process to completion,” the Head of the Presidential Administration said.
Uzbekistan has reaffirmed its intention to complete the process of joining the WTO in 2026.
