Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — UniversalBank will begin placing currency bonds worth a total of US$10 million on 28 September. The securities will carry a yield of 8.5% per annum, according to data from the Unified Portal of Corporate Information.
UniversalBank's supervisory board took the decision to issue the bonds on 18 August. State registration of the securities took place on 11 September.
The nominal value of one bond is US$100, and the circulation period is two years. Coupon income will be paid quarterly.
Placement of the bonds will begin on Monday, 28 September.
Other currency bond issues are also being prepared on the market. Poytaxt Bank plans to place US$10 million in bonds with a yield of 8.5% per annum, and Agat Credit US$10 million at 11.5%. Asia Alliance Bank will place US$20 million in bonds on 25 September with a yield of 7% per annum.
