A solar station was put into operation in Yukori-Chirchik district

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- A small solar photovoltaic station with a capacity of 40 kW was commissioned in Yukori-Chirchik district on 5 March 2021.

As previously reported, the project was funded by the Korea Energy Agency (KEA).

The solar photovoltaic installation, built within the framework of cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea, is located on the territory of the “Nuri Zamin” makhalla citizens' gathering in ] Yukori-Chirchik district of the Tashkent region.

The small PV power plant will produce about 100,000 kWh of electricity per year.

By the end of this 2021, 2 large solar photovoltaic stations with a capacity of 100 MW each will be commissioned.
