A drunken rowdy was detained at Tashkent airport

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- An incident occurred at Tashkent international airport involving a drunk citizen of Uzbekistan who got into a fight with law enforcement officers.

The offender was a passenger on the Tashkent-Sharjah flight and had an argument with representatives of Air Arabia and airport employees.

A resident of Namangan region was asked to wrap a bag of carrots with stretch film. This caused him to become aggressive, and he tried to fight with law enforcement officers.

A criminal case has been initiated against the citizen under Article 277 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (“Hooliganism associated with resistance to a representative of the government or the public performing duties to protect public order, or to other citizens suppressing hooligan behavior”).

An investigation is underway.
