Uzbekistan Receives Credentials of Gambia’s New Ambassador

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov received the credentials of Gambia’s newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan Alkali Fanka Conteh on 27 July.

During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for developing bilateral relations. Uzbekistan attaches particular importance to expanding mutually beneficial ties with African countries and sees significant potential for cooperation with Gambia that has yet to be fully realised.

Particular attention was paid to developing trade and economic ties between the two countries.

Uzbekistan expressed confidence that Conteh’s diplomatic activities would help give bilateral relations more concrete and practical substance.
