A driver hit a child and fled the scene of the accident in Samarkand region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- On 18 December, at about 17:25, a traffic accident occurred in Samarkand district.

A group of schoolchildren were crossing the road when a Gentra car driver hit a 7th grade student born in 2011.

The driver left the scene after hitting a child.

The student was injured and was hospitalized at a local hospital.

Traffic police officers identified the driver and vehicle. An investigation into this case is currently underway.
