A car passenger dies as a result of an accident

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- A passenger in a car died as a result of a traffic accident in Sharaf-Rashidov district of Jizzakh region. This was reported by the press service of the regional traffic police department.

The incident occurred on 25 May at about 09:15 on the 979th km of the M-39 Tashkent-Termez highway, passing through the Yoilma mahalla.

According to law enforcement agencies, the 21-year-old driver of a Lacetti drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a bus.

As a result of the accident, a 21-year-old passenger in the car died. The driver and 20-year-old passenger of the car were hospitalized with various injuries. The bus driver and passengers were not injured.

Law enforcement officials are conducting a pre-investigation investigation into the incident.
