Zainab Dayibekova wins the gold medal of the World Cup

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) - In Tashkent, the World Cup among junior saber fencers started. The last single competitions were successful for the representatives of Uzbekistan.

In the 1/16 final, among the saber fencers, seven girls from Russia could be seen. However, as a result, the medal of the “highest standard” was won by our saber fencer Zainab Dayibekova.

Daiybekova faced Nisonur Erbil from Turkey in the final bout and won with a score of 15:12. The Russians Darya Drozd and Vlad Plekhanova were awarded bronze.

It is noteworthy that this is the first victory of our fencers in the World Cup competitions.
