World Cup: France stuns Switzerland

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- France claimed a 5-2 victory over Switzerland in the second round match of the Group E of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil.

Olivier Giroud scored an opener on 17 minutes. Blaise Matuidi and Mathieu Valbuena netted goals on 18 and 40 minutes of the match.

At the same time, Karim Benzema could not score from penalty in the first half, but he scored on 67 minutes. Six minutes later, Mussa Sissoko scored fifth goal of France.

Afterwards, Switzerland netted two goals. Blerim Dzemaili and Granit Xhaka scored consolation goals on 81 and 87 minutes of the match.

In next round, Honduras will face Switzerland, while Ecuador will meet France.
