World Cup: Argentina defeats Iran thanks to Messi goal

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Argentina clinched a late 1-0 victory over Iran in the second round match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil.

Lionel Messi netted the only goal of the match in the first minute of the added time to the match to win all three points for Argentina.

The victory helps Argentina to qualify to play-offs. In the third round, Argentina will play with Nigeria and Iran will face Bosnia and Herzegovina.
