Wi-Fi BUS project launched in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Toshshahartranshizmat (Toshkent city transport service) launched a Wi-Fi BUS project for equipping city buses to provide internet services via Wi-Fi.

The project is implemented in order to create additional amenities for passengers.

As part of the Wi-Fi BUS program, Toshshahartranshizmat together with UZMOBILE launched shuttle buses in the city of Tashkent, equipped with equipment for Wi-Fi connection.

At the moment, wireless data transfer via Wi-Fi is available on city routes: No. 2, No. 38 and No. 72.

During their trip, passengers of public transport with Wi-Fi can use the service of access to the national educational and entertainment portal Ziyonet.uz.

Toshshahartranshizmat plans to equip 50 buses with Wi-Fi equipment during 2017 and will continue to actively implement modern information systems to improve the quality of urban transport and create comfortable conditions for residents and guests of the capital.
