Welcoming ceremony of BRICS summit participants takes place

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) —  President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the welcoming ceremony of the heads of delegations participating in the BRICS summit, taking place in Kazan.

At the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin greeted the Uzbek leader.

The ceremony also saw the participation of leaders from several other countries, as well as representatives from international and regional organizations.

Following the event, a ceremonial reception was held.

Tomorrow, on 24 October, the leader of Uzbekistan is set to address the plenary session of the summit in the "BRICS Plus" format.
