Visit of US Secretary of State to Uzbekistan postponed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – A visit of the US delegation led by Secretary of State Michael Pompeo, scheduled for 5-6 January 2020, is postponed, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

The Uzbek Foreign Ministry added that this decision was reached by mutual agreement.

The visit of the US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo to Uzbekistan and the ministerial meeting in Tashkent in the format of "Central Asia - USA" (“C5 + 1”) were postponed to later dates.

Specific dates will be agreed through diplomatic channels.
