Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) - A Decree of the President “On the establishment of a visa-free regime and visa facilitation of entry into the Republic of Uzbekistan for foreign citizens with United Nations biometric passes” was adopted.

In accordance with the Decree, starting from 1 January 2020, for citizens of foreign states with a UN biometric passport (Laissez-Passer red passport), a visa-free regime is introduced for a period of 30 days from the date of entry into the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Also, according to the Decree:

- to citizens of foreign states with a UN biometric pass (blue Laissez-Passer passport), entry visas to Uzbekistan are issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs within 2 business days on the basis of an invitation letter from the inviting party;

- foreign nationals - holders of UN biometric passes (passport - Laissez-Passer in red or blue) traveling to Uzbekistan should also have with them a national passport (travel document), the validity of which should not be less than the validity period of the UN biometric pass.
