Vadim Abramov appointed as Astana coach

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Former Uzbekistan national team coach Vadim Abramov has been appointed as head coach of Kazakh club Astana, the press service of the club said.

Vadim Abramov started his career in Neftchi Ferghana, where he was assistant coach. Later, he headed NBU-Aziya, Tractor and Locomotive (all Tashkent-based clubs).

Abramov also worked as head coach of Uzbekistan Olympic Team and Uzbekistan national team. Uzbekistan finished the fourth in the AFC Asian Cup in 2011 under his guidance.
