Uzeltekhsanoat assesses export potential of Georgian ports

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Chairman of the Uzeltekhsanoat Association, Mirzayunus Yunusov, visited the seaports of Poti and Batumi as part of the implementation of agreements on developing transport and transit cooperation reached during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to Georgia.

During the visit, the delegation familiarized themselves with the infrastructure of the port terminals, studied the processes of receiving and processing export cargo, and discussed measures to increase logistics efficiency when transporting electrical products.

The parties paid special attention to the issues of more actively utilizing the transit potential of Georgian ports to expand the supply of products from Uzbek manufacturers to European and African markets.

The association noted that the visit marked another practical step toward developing the export capabilities of electrical industry enterprises, improving supply chains, and utilizing international transport corridors more effectively.
