Uzbekneftegaz, Schlumberger Discuss Oil and Gas Projects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekneftegaz JSC held talks with representatives of US oilfield services company Schlumberger during the “OGU 2026 – Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan” international exhibition and conference, focusing on expanding cooperation in geological exploration and the digital transformation of the industry.

The meeting was attended by Uzbekneftegaz Chairman Uzbekneftegaz Abdugani Sanginov.

At the beginning of the discussions, the delegation was briefed on ongoing Uzbekneftegaz projects in geological exploration, increasing hydrocarbon production, and implementing digital technologies in sector management. Separate emphasis was placed on modernizing production processes and upgrading technological systems.

The sides reviewed the work of a joint management group operating in the Ustyurt region and discussed exploration and well workover programs planned for 2026–2027, which are seen as key for expanding the resource base and improving production efficiency.

Special attention was given to the modernization of O‘zbekgeofizika, the creation of a unified geological information platform, and the implementation of AI-based analytical systems for data forecasting and processing.

Both sides confirmed their interest in further expanding cooperation and continuing work on new joint projects in Uzbekistan’s oil and gas sector.
