Uzbekistan’s Metallurgy Output Reaches 183 Trillion Soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s metallurgy industry produced nearly 183 trillion soums worth of output in January-June 2026, up 1.3% from the same period a year earlier, according to the National Statistics Committee.
The largest share of production came from Navoi Region, where metallurgical output reached 120.7 trillion soums in the first six months of the year. Tashkent Region ranked second with 44.9 trillion soums.
Metallurgical production in Tashkent city amounted to 10.3 trillion soums. It was followed by Samarkand Region with 4.8 trillion soums and Namangan Region with 659.8 billion soums.
Production in Syrdarya Region reached 621.4 billion soums, while Jizzakh Region recorded 262.6 billion soums and Ferghana Region 236.7 billion soums.
Metallurgical enterprises in Bukhara Region produced 185.4 billion soums worth of output. The figure for Surkhandarya Region stood at 126 billion soums.
Production in the Republic of Karakalpakstan reached 67.8 billion soums. Andijan Region recorded 42.6 billion soums, while Khorezm Region produced 26.8 billion soums.
The lowest output among the regions listed was recorded in Kashkadarya Region at 16.6 billion soums.
Overall, Navoi and Tashkent regions, along with Tashkent city, accounted for the largest volumes of metallurgical production in January-June 2026.
National metallurgy output was 1.3% higher than in the corresponding period of 2025, the National Statistics Committee said.
