Uzbekistan Women’s National Boxing Team Wins Five Medals at WBO Cup Stage in Astana

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Uzbekistan women’s national boxing team has concluded its participation in the latest stage of the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Cup, held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.

Under the guidance of head coach Elshod Rasulov, the team delivered a confident and commendable performance, securing a total of one gold and four bronze medals.

The tournament’s top honor in the 65 kg weight category was claimed by Navbahor Khamidova, earning the team its only gold medal.

The bronze medals went to Feruza Kazakova (54 kg), Aziza Zakirova (75 kg), Sokhiba Ruzmetova (80 kg), and Oltinoy Sotimbayeva (over 80 kg).
