Uzbekistan wins four medals at junior judo world championships
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan won four medals on the opening day of the junior world judo championships in Guayaquil, Ecuador, including one gold and three bronze medals, the Olympic Committee’s press service said.
Iroda Sirojiddinova won the world title in the under-40 kg weight category.
Three other Uzbek judokas claimed bronze medals. Bobur Yusupov finished third in the under-55 kg category, while Alina Kolyucheva took bronze in the under-44 kg category and Charos Khikmatova in the under-48 kg category.
Following the first day of competition, Uzbekistan has four medals at the championships: one gold and three bronze.
