Uzbekistan, Ukraine Discuss Pharma Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan Abdulla Azizov held talks with a delegation from Ukraine to discuss prospects for expanding cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector.

The Uzbek side presented information on large-scale transformation processes implemented in the industry in recent years. These included measures aimed at developing domestic pharmaceutical production, introducing international quality standards, and creating a favorable investment environment.

Particular attention was given to the sector’s growth dynamics, expansion of production capacity, development of infrastructure, and active attraction of foreign investment. Both current opportunities and перспективные направления for international cooperation were highlighted.

The discussions also covered further improvement and systematization of the regulatory framework in the pharmaceutical industry. It was noted that strengthening the legal and regulatory base is essential for ensuring product quality and safety, increasing transparency, and building trust among international partners.

Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their interest in continuing constructive dialogue and further developing mutually beneficial cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector.
